Seattle Method
The Seattle Method is an upgrade on the ancient, double-entry bookkeeping method suitable for the digital age.
The earliest treatise on accounting is generally thought to be Pacioli’s Summar of 1494. The Bahi-khata is a double-entry system of bookkeeping that predates the ‘Italian’ method by many centuries.
The Seattle Method is acredited to Charles Hoffman, CPA and inventor of XBRL.
